Bike route: P1 Leysin - Berneuse - Eagle - Sepey
Difficulty level
This physically and technically demanding course offers a wide variety of terrain and landscapes. From the long, paved climb in a dream setting in the middle of the flowery fields, to the steep path overlooking the void and offering breathtaking views of The Geneva, through challenging descents in places, true mountain bike enthusiasts will be delighted.
For the less ambitious, it’s easy to lighten it in two ways:
- Delete the loop going to the Berneuse and starting from the Temeley
- Get back on the train to the Sepey from Eagle.
Thus shortened, this route becomes accessible to almost everyone.
For the more adventurous, it is interesting to stay on the western flank (which faces Lake Geneva) of the Cherix Ridge, in the descent from the Berneuse, and this by turning right at the Luissel pass rather than descending on Le Témeley, as proposed. In this configuration, the descent of the Berneuse reaches its maximum level of difficulty, reserved for the most experienced and trained.
